Today the asylum narrative is experiencing a significant revival. The conference will focus on recent narratives (novels and film) of the asylum and on their relationship with the Italian cultural tradition. The asylum narrative will be considered the narration of mental distress within a social path and a collective place, determined by the influence of the psychiatric setting, and by the urban context.
